Morrocco, July

Hey everybody it’s your favourite MTEDS group you know MAMAY (Marie, Alma, Manao, Alicia, Yemissi). For our internship we were in Morocco more precisely in Oumifiss in the south of the country next to the desert. If we had to describe the whole experience in just one word, we would say RICH because it was just incredible. We learned things in every single aspect of it and the Moroccan culture is one of the most beautiful and including cultures we ever met. Just in our group we gather 8 differents cultures even if we are 5 and that was the strength of our internship group. It was so fulfilling to have an immersion in Aicha association because for 3 weeks we have been sharing our daily lives with all the people of the village. Indeed we had to give french and english classes three times a week which brought us closer to all the children of the village. The food was just AMAZING. We couldn’t dream better honestly, everything was homemade, even the butter, the bread… Literally everything was cooked by our special AICHA who was literally the final boss of our internship, if she hadn’t been there it would not have been the same experience. She was taking care of us like if we were her daughters, so careful about our preferences, Yemissi was not eating fish (what a picky eater) and Alma was vegetarian and all of us were full after each meal.

Talking about work, because yes we did work, we had several tasks like collecting the carob (a fruit we discovered there) EVERYDAY god made -“Yémissi CAROOOUUUUBES” for those who get it- or taking care of the plant nursery and trimming trees.

Anyways, we ABSOLUTELY recommend this internship. It wasn’t our first choice  but it ended up being the most perfect experience. We are so grateful and hopefully we are able to come back one day. xoxo, MAMAY!

PS : A big thumbs up to Ana, the 6th person in the picture, a french-spanish girl that we met there and was road-tripping the whole country by herself. A true explorer!
